UniSC cricket club is a community based Cricket Club, that is creating pathway opportunities for talented cricket athletes both locally and across QLD. We foster a community spirit and focus on participation and involvement.

With Blasters (ages 5 - 8) you're kids will love making new friends while learning the fundamentals of cricket.
The Blast programs will not only allow your child to develop new skills such as catching, throwing and teamwork, their passion will also grow for the game so many enjoy and love.

Make new friends and take your batting, bowling and fielding skills to the next level with Junior Cricket. Junior cricket is organised games of cricket played on a Saturday and can be suitable for kids with basic cricket skills.
The Junior Cricket Pathway is perfect for boys and girls aged 9-16 years. Kids will develop their skills in a fun and action-packed way.

The Sunshine Coast Womens Competition is a T20 competition currently played fortnightly on a Sunday.
The season begins in October and ends in February. This competition is still growing and caters for all abilities from ages 14yrs and older.
If you're looking for a fun, active social activity, then get the girls together. We'd love to have you!

We offer various divisions to cater for all abilities, from a limited overs competition, aimed at the social cricketer, through to the Sunshine Coast first grade competition.
Other than the limited overs competition, all other divisions play a mixture of 1 day and 2-day cricket. The first division also play a standalone T20 competition. A great way to meet new mates!

Don’t worry, we haven’t disappeared – we will just be playing under the brand-new Nambour USC Cricket Club this season. We are still offering the same great cricket community, now with even more opportunities. Your registrations will now go to the Nambour USC club, and you’ll need to request a transfer. Here’s to another super season, with a new club name!
Junior Blasters is for children (5-8 years old) learning the basic skills of cricket with participants building their skills through fun, game based activities. The activities are designed for small groups to ensure every child gets a go, allowing them to test and learn new skills. After they have mastered the basics, they will be ready for modified games of cricket.
The Junior Blasters program is set up in a way that regardless of skill level, participants can progress through the different levels of activity until they have the basic cricket skills required to progress to the U10’s program.
Our Junior Blasters program will be run on Thursday afternoons from 4.30pm – 5.30pm at Eric Moes Oval Ballinger Park, from October 3rd to December 5th.
Total Cost $115.00 – includes Cricket Australia fee – child receives a Cricket Blast pack including Shirt, Bat and Ball.

U10’s – (Recommended for children aged 7-10). After learning all the basic skills in Junior Blasters, U10’s allows players to experience modified games of cricket using lighter equipment in a format that is fast paced with equal participation. The program was developed to ensure junior cricketers can progress with confidence to Stage 1 of Junior Formats.
U10’s is played on Friday Evenings from 6pm – 8pm and will be held either at Buderim Wanderers Football Club (adjacent to our facilities at Ballinger Park) or at various other club grounds on the Sunshine Coast.

Junior Cricket
For boys & girls aged 9-17, Junior Cricket provides opportunities to engage in competition and more specific skill development.. Whether you are a junior who has been through the Cricket Blast program or have just played in the backyard, at school or on the beach, USC Cricket Club provides a great environment for making friends and developing cricket skills.

The mixed age competitions are played on Saturday mornings. U11 and U13 games are played on synthetic wickets with Eric Moes Oval at Ballinger Park and Brightwater School as our home grounds. From U15s and upwards, some games will be played on turf wickets. In Under 17, most games are played on turf wickets with USC Oval used as our home ground
The All Girls League is played on alternate Sundays up until Christmas.
Training – All teams from Under 11 up participate in training during the week. USC Cricket Club provides the services of an accredited professional coach for these sessions. For the 2024/25 season this will be Ethan Walsh who is an ECB Level 2 coach and is joining us from England for the season.

Our Senior Men’s Cricket Teams play in the Sunshine Coast Cricket Association (SCCA) competition.
Players are graded in divisions from 2 to 6 and play matches in various formats including T20, One Day and Two Day. Regardless of your age or ability there will be a grade and a team to suit your needs and make you welcome. For players wishing to extend themselves to the highest level, USC Cricket Club has an association with Palmwoods Cricket Club which provides a pathway to Division 1 should individual performance warrant it.
Matches are typically played on a Saturday afternoon and team training sessions are held on Tuesday and Thursday’s each week during the playing season. For the 2024/25 season we will be holding an additional all-club fielding training session on Wednesday evenings. The season runs from late September/early October until late March.

Our Senior Women’s Cricket Team plays in the Sunshine Coast Cricket Association (SCCA). Our Women’s team pride themselves on their spirit of fun and inclusivity and welcome players of all ages and abilities.
Matches are typically played fortnightly on a Sunday morning in a T20 format and team training sessions are held on Wednesday each week during the playing season.
